I've been a long-term user of the bat, but I've been having a lot of trouble updating my copy of the program recently. Whenever I download the newest version, after installing it the program freezes on the startup banner (and has to be closed by Windows). I have a copy of 1.53d lying around, so luckily I can reinstall that copy and get access to my email again, but it's still a bit of a problem!
Originally I assumed it was just a problem with my machine (running Windows 2000), but yesterday I tried installing the latest version on my machine at work (which runs Windows XP Pro), and that had the same problem.
