I've always done so but you made your point so well here, I had to comment.:) The only working crossroads I see here is easy synchronization between the two managers to avoid having to duplicate some contacts. The tight integration of the TB! with it's address book and the functionality that tight integration offers would be lost with a centralized system approach. This basically illustrates the difference in priorities based on peoples needs. Those who need a calendar in TB! actually need a good stand alone PIM that support a export/import format that TB!'s address book does. Synchronisation isn't even necessary in the majority of instances. The entries in both usually only overlap. In my case, the overlap is really small though I agree that the overlap would be much greater in some instances. I strongly think that this particular last point is being focused on way too much while ignoring the importance of TB!'s tightly integrated address book in terms of functionality that wouldn't be needed elsewhere on one's system with the converse applying. A PIM would offer a lot of functionality that simply isn't needed in the context of e-mail. The two need to be separate! - -- -=Allie C Martin=- List Moderator | TB! v1.61 | Windows XP Pro PGP/GPG Public Key: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=2B0717E2 _________________________________________________________________ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iEYEARECAAYFAj0usrgACgkQV8nrYCsHF+JE9QCg/f2znpsVu6WcsqcYlwgmh/6u s60AniwDuwBY3Olg8i9yJQRrrgPzxPbr =xtSP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60q FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/
