I found it slowed down my system unacceptably and caused irregular freezes. It may never happen to you, but every system is different. I wanted to use it, I like it, but it didn't work for me. I found something that does work. End of story. BTW, despite keeping AVG up to date, it did let a virus through, can't remember which, but it caused me a lot of trouble. I finally sorted it out via the Command AV online service of all places.
