I'm using MailTraq4Free (though I'll probably buy a basic license
shortly). http://www.mailtraq.com

I can't remember who recommended this software for the news-to-email
gateway, but my life has been heaven ever since. :) Now, I've got
MailTraq pulling *all* of my email and newsgroups into itself, and
MailTraq has a plugin for AVG, so both my email and newsgroup messages
get checked for viruses.

Also, since MailTraq has a pluggable architecture, I'm currently on
the hunt for something I can tie into for spam killing...I'm
considering working on porting SpamAssassin and hooking it in as a
plugin to MailTraq. I contacted DeerSoft (who makes a version of
SpamAssassin for Windows), but they weren't interested in doing this
at this time, so I'm seriously considering taking it up myself (I'll
have to brush up on my Perl, though). :)

Needless to say, I *highly* recommend this combination for your
email/news/antivirus needs.
