A lot of experienced TB! users who are otherwise very knowledgeable about computing in general, subscribe to this list. I ask my off-topic questions there and *always* get a useful response and quick as on this list. I strongly suggest that those who need off-topic help subscribe to this list for it. You'll find that TBOT is quite pleasant as I do. We generally make concessions for the occasional off-topic request but cannot tolerate this if it results in long threads or if the the requests are frequent.
