If you wish for mail to be delivered directly to you without the use of a remote POP account/s, then TB! running in server mode isn't adequate. You'll need a specialist mail server. TB! will only fetch mail from remote POP accounts and then distribute them to the clients on the network. You have to use remote POP accounts and either a local or remote SMTP server to send messages. PM> I would also send mail to the other machines on the network here. TB! in server mode should be adequate here. If you are managing mail for your domain and wish to distribute mail to accounts for each domain address, then TB! as a server will not be adequate. It's role is a very simple one. It will download mail from remote POP accounts and send mail for clients that are unable to do so because they have no internet connection. PM> Mind you, this is not a high volume setup. Volume isn't really the issue as such since you could be receiving a large volume of mail and yet your mailserving needs are simple enough for TB! to comfortably act as the mail server on your network. In the same way, you could have a low volume setup and yet need a specialist mail server because of the features you need that TB! in server mode will not deliver. - -- -=Allie C Martin=- List Moderator | TB! v1.61 | Windows XP Pro PGP/GPG Public Key: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=2B0717E2 _________________________________________________________________ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.1.91 (Win32) iD8DBQE9SMQZV8nrYCsHF+IRAqi0AKDLPhEGYiDOelOzS449M585bzXS4wCfbzcS rRyUFMtyjNUwDgU/UMQ7UbE= =nJvN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.61 FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/
