Have you had checked 'Leave message base intact' when deleting folders
shown as 'Common folders'? If not: it's quite reasonable their disappeared.

Delete the folder 'outside account' (BTW: "Common folders") and when asked
'OK to delete the folder named as "..."' choose 'Leave message base files
intact'.

This should delete the folder only in listing, but not 'for real', means
wipe it from hard disk. It should nevertheless still appear in the
corresponding account.

If it disappears from account too again (albeit I don't know any single
reason why it should), try pressing <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Shift>+L at once when
finished with deleting all 'outside account' folders.
This should recover the folders to be shown in accounts.

Prerequisite _is_: You choose the 'Leave message base files intact'
option!!!!!
