I wonder if the shortcuts problem was some left over remnant from a beta. Everything looked exactly the same, same conflicts, same warnings, but it did allow me to hit the OK button and close this go round. This was the first time I tried to edit the shortcuts so I'm pretty sure it was the "default" settings.
