If I understand your problem correctly, and alternate to what others
have suggested, you might want to look at X-Ray (www.xrayapp.com).
This will automatically select a 'correct' SMTP server depending on
the dial-up account being used. It's a small program that is specially
designed to work in tandem with TB! It does more than SMTP settings,
including manipulating of headers, but that's a different story...
