JS> Any chance you could refer me to steps you took to get yours to work?? JS> Please!! Note: initial run was straight from the setup, before I changed the defaults. Downloaded Hotmail Popper 1.0 Started the install script - (intro) hit next - install path. accepted default. hit next - checked both boxes - start hotmail popper at startup - start hotmail popper after installation - hit next - Installation complete. hit finish Opened TheBat Clicked on Account->New - account Name: hotmail - homedir: <default> Clicked next - Fullname: Wolffe Mann - email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (hotmail address here) - organisation: <left blank> Clicked Next - SMTP Server: mail.myISP.com <-- this is for outgoing mail - Pop3 Server: 127.0.0.1 Clicked Next - Username: Hotmail ID - Password: Hotmail password Clicked Next - check account settings: YES Clicked Next = accounts window opens General - verified From Address was hotmail address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Transport (Send Mail) - SMTP Server: should be regular ISP or other Email send server - Connection: Regular - Port: 25 (Receive Mail) - Mail Server: 127.0.0.1 <-- must match address in Popper options - User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <-- must be hotmail address!! - Password: my_hotmail_password - Protocol: POP3 - Connection: Regular - Port: 110 <-- default port here must match Port in Popper options (Mail Management) set to your personal preferences (Options) - check Periodical checking each xx minutes - set the minutes to your preference - set other options to your preference Everything else was left at default settings A candle flame now appears on your task bar. If you right click it and select options you get a popup with 2 fields: Address: default should be 127.0.0.1 Port: default should be 110 -Click OK These 2 fields should match "Mail Server:" and "Port:" in "(Receive Mail)" above. Right click on the candle flame again and select exit. Click on START->Programs->Hotmail_Popper->Hotmail_Popper to restart the popper. You should now be ready to test it. In TheBat click on the "Inbox" for the Hotmail account to highlight it. Press F2 or Account->Get_Mail to start the retrieval. It is a little slow on starting. If you have a personal firewall (Kerio, ZoneAlarm, BlackIce, etc) disable it for the test. If you are successful in retrieving data, re-enable the firewall, send a message to your hotmail account from you regular email (isp) and try to retrieve it again. That's about it. Good Luck.
