That's not what I want though. When a new message arrives in a folder
(it doesn't matter who it is from) I sometimes want to be able to read
in full the original message and, sometimes, the original to that one
too without having to scroll through all the other messages that have
been posted between.

For example "A" posts a message. Several others respond in various
ways and then "X" replies. By this time the original has moved way up
(or down) the list and I want to be able to jump straight to it and
then back to the reply again with a single key stroke (or
combination).

It appears that it is not possible and I suppose I will have to accept
it :-(
