It's what happens when you are suffering from "communicatus
interruptus". If the connection dies before TB has finished speaking
then the last X messages will not be deleted from the server. TB
queues the Delete commands in a separate thread that always lags
behind the main download thread.

"Leave messages on server" (for, say, one day) may help here because
already received messages are logged and not re-downloaded.
