I've been noticing these problems every time I get an incoming phone call on my regular phone line. I bet when I stapled the telephone wire to the house one of the staples cut too deep... I can hear on my phone when my computer is dialing up. I have both phone lines running on the same wire, 2 wires for the phone and 2 for the internet line.
