How about this: we sit down and agree on a set of templates, etc.,
that should be offered to newbies, and perhaps ask that they be
included in the TB! distribution. For example, I have an address book
group for mailing lists, which includes a template for the mid: line,
cleans up the subject line, and so forth, and I have an address book
group for the several TB! lists that's very similar, which includes
the computer and TB! details at the bottom of the message. I put
these templates together as a result of scrounging through old
list messages and FAQ pages; they don't seem to be readily available
all in one place, although I need to finish looking through the info
available at http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBFAQ.html.
