Rico,
Yeah, I have the same mini-gripe. But I usually run TB minimized and
try to ignore the flying beastie. I've been experimenting with a small
POP-account monitor in my task bar to let me know I have mail (it just
changes color; it doesn't flash much). I set the task-bar monitor to
check once a minute, then have TB autocheck about once every 20
minutes to half an hour. That way, if I'm expecting something, I get
an early indication that it's hit my POP account and so I pull up
TB and download it. If I'm not expecting anything, at least I've
reduced the frequency with which I have to bring up TB and mark all as
read. Amazing, isn't it? We can ignore our snail-mail boxes all day
(or at work, much of the day), but we're impelled to respond like
Pavolv's pooch to the flash of an icon. Sigh... ;-)
Best regards,
Pete
