This is exactly the reason I am not using sounds. The cacophony would
drive me crazy. ;-)

Another good point.

I believe playing a sound makes sense only for particularly important
messages, like those from your boss or your mother.

No, but I can now sit back, look at my folder tree, and see which
folders in which accounts have new messages.
