This is going into economics theory, and we will have to move the
thread to TBOT soon:

The conference was organised by the virus bulletin (CMIIW). They do
this in order to increase their visibility. (Maybe they do it out of
altruism, but that what be highly unusual.) They do not have enough
money to just pay for the whole event, so they ask vendors to sponsor,
rather than asking participants to pay such a high fee that the cost
could be covered. This creates dependence.

You are safe, because NOD32 is still a good product. I do not wish
to continue to use the product I am with, that's why information about
AV software is welcome. I know that not all info that comes my way
will have been pre-screened, so don't worry. Please do not take
