Thanks Allie!  I'm going to give PowerPro a try.

While I was waiting for a reply to my previous post, I came up with a
basic QT that nearly achieves my "write a message to this address"
objective in a roundabout sort of way (but it does still retain the
original "references trail" in the headers).

Here's what I did...

After hitting F4 (regular "reply"), I invoke the following QT:

%SUBJECT=""%CLEAR%TO=""%TO="%OFROMNAME <%OFROMADDR>"

This creates a blank message, removes the subject line from the
original list message, and addresses it to the original sender. Of
course, this still doesn't combine the QT and *F5* functions into one
operation (and it still retains the references from the list
message)...so I think PowerPro will be my real solution here.
