And then sometimes I would get a "system resources" warning box. So I uninstalled the new application. A little later, and probably unrelated, part of my monitor circuitry failed (everything is 5 years old), such that it is "overscanning." So, I *am* getting a new computer. Parts are ordered--a local company is custom-building it for me. I should have it in about another week. Can hardly wait. Good luck with your decision.
