I would say from the main parent window/screen. The one that appears
when you click on 'The Bat!' shortcut to start the Bat. This one
typically has three panes to it. Not from a child window.

Drag a message from the message list pane, typically at the upper
left. It will be highlighted in blue then. You can scroll the folder
tree first to minimize mouse movement.

Click any Tbudl message, and hold Shift Control F. The 'Create Mail
Filter' window appears. Enter a descriptive name for it. Click on
Sender to Uncheck it. At least for this example. And click on
Recipient to Check it. Click on the button next to 'Move to folder'.
Create a new folder for whatever kind of content you wanted. In this
example, Tbudl messages. Click Ok. And now if your filter looks fine,
click OK again. It will apply on next check mail.

An example like the above will only move mail around. Not kill it.

If you were trying a manual filter, you could try just copying all
your Inbox mail to an empty folder before refiltering. That way you
aren't stuck if some errant filter you forgot about decided to apply
now.
