Yes, me! I kept reporting this as a bug, but as it seemed to be a rare
problem it couldn't be located and I finally gave up on it. I have
several address books and I'd like to associate them with different
accounts, but it won't work. Really disappointing.

I should add that there were some versions (unfortunately this was too
long ago so I don't remember which ones) where this feature actually
worked. But some change in a subsequent version messed it up. :-(

In my case, the problem is the <default> address book. Any idea how to
delete this one? ;-) BTW, I tried everything, different accounts, new
accounts, new ABs, fresh install and several combinations of these. It
didn't help.
