I don't have such problems -- but we use roaming profiles and have
separate base mail directories to let my three users access their own
mail when logged onto any machine that has TB while not having their
mail or ABs confused with another user's.

Drive P: is mapped to personal file space (on the server, but you can
use a local share). TB's default mail directory is set to P:\Mail. So,
my mail and address books reside in \\server\users\my\mail and my
wife's reside in \\server\users\her\mail.
