I'll second that -- until recently, my archive of this list (a TB
message base in a dedicated "Archive" account) was over 26,000
messages. Although TB still coped, things were slowing up a little --
but then my message bases are on a network drive.

If you search the archives for this list, you'll see that I too lost
some messages in November when I suffered a system crash. In my case,
deleting the TBI files, so forcing TB to reindex, solved the issue.
