Daniel- Yes, by command-line interface I meant just that you don't need a GUI shell for basic ftp functionality.
Thanks for the url for freesoft.org - I hadn't seen their writeup before. I had no idea that CDUP was a possibly valid ftp command - not that the Win2k DOS version supports it. Of course, the Win2k version also doesn't support SYST, SITE, STOR, RETR, STOR, STOU, ALLO, REST, RNFR, RNTO, ABOR, LIST, NLST, PASS, ACCT, CWD, SMNT, SMNT, REIN, PORT, PASV, STRU, or MODE, so it's no big surprise. Now... any idea what the -g option of Micro$oft's implementation is all about? The online help says it "disables file globbing (see GLOB command)"... -Mark Wieder (veering somewhat off-topic but hopefully not in dead-horse land yet) Using The Bat! v1.61 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2 -- ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
