I would be happy to send anyone some of the .tbk or .msb or MM> .tbb files... Very likely, someone will know how you can restore the TB! message base by using only TB! and your current O/S. However, if not, then I do have one suggestions which would work, as long as your message base files themselves are not damaged. However, it requires using another program. Mailbag Assistant, which is available from Fookes Software on the 'net and can be used in a free trial version, is an e-mail database and archiving tool. In this case, it could be used to open your .tbb files and then to save them in Unix format (which the program calls "generic"). File/Export will get you to the correct dialog boxes. Then, from within TB!, you can import the Unix mailboxes (Tools/Import). They will convert on import to .tbb files. This process might clean whatever problems are in the message base, if that's where your problems are. I'm not convinced that's what causing the problems, though. However, I'll let someone else venture guesses and remedies for what could be a compatibility problem. One last word. If you're going to use Windows, WinME could be about the least stable and forgiving O/S you could choose. If your system won't handle XP, then you might research whether Win98SE (only SE) is a better choice. If your system can handle it, though, Win XP is good IMO, and works well with TB! -- JN ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
