Hi, I've been using a manual Read messages filter set to append to save the text of certain threads on a couple of e-mail lists I'm on. I just go into the sorting office and change the file name depending on the thread topic. In order to save myself some work, I usually wait until the thread is closed and then go through the thread and save all the e-mails then. It's quicker that way instead of having to constantly change the file name that I'm saving to.
I now have a pretty extensive collections of text files on various subjects. On occasion, new threads are started that would be appropriate for me to append to an already existing file.
