Standardization for support reasons.

If you run an IT department you don't want the overhead of supporting
a dozen different clients. Not to mention compatibility issues between
clients, versions of PGP etc. etc. Standardization internally makes a
lot of sense from a support perspective.

Not standardizing can cause fun with role accounts etc. too.

Our organization as standard supports one Email client, I won't say
which but you can guess if I tell you that none of the technical staff
actually use it :)
