My MUA believes 'The Bat! (v1.62i) Personal' was used
to write mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at 7:13:21 AM.

I have not heard of it being done that way...

My PC has NAV installed and NAV checks the files as they are written to
disk, so the Temp files are scanned, then when it is moved to my TB Mail
store, it is checked again.

An other option is to get a plugin for TB (that is what I do on my
wife's workstation). Not all the virus software has em, but many do.
Check the archives or FAQ for the location of the plugin for your
particular AV software.
