Well, the only way to avoid that is to use a RegEx to decide whether the name contains any special characters and deal with it accordingly. I'd say this is a TBTECH issue though, since double quoting a name every time is no problem and is what I do anyway. It's a "cake and eat it" thing. Either you let TB default the TO field content and carry the original quote formatting over or you want to extract name parts and reconstruct the addressing yourself, in which case it's up to you to program it as required. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator TB! v1.63 Beta/7 on Windows 2000 5.0.2195 Service Pack 2 ' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1rc1-nr1 (Windows 2000) iD8DBQE+YKb9OeQkq5KdzaARAtz1AJ9q3y1Dk5mcy1eJ9346+brpa6HouwCgnyeP yFrX7vjJ3KilmcrTYppDU90= =rB1J -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
