Yes, I agree. I roll all my own filters and don't use any spam blockers. Apart from having the satisfaction of doing it myself I know (at least 99% of the time) why things are being filtered. And, one or two of the normal spam words sometimes appear in subject lines from friends of mine, so I know that I can get them by having their filter (to folder) first, before my spam filters. Yes. I hardlyu ever see spam messages now other than in my spam folder or my trash, depending on the filter.
