This I don't believe. Sure, they send you the Eicar-test-virus to check
your AV program, but I got it only once per test and my AV caught it.

I don't believe there's a "hidden program". I'd do a search for all
new/changed files of that date with the file manager set to display
hidden files too, just to make sure.

Perhaps the mail is for any reason not deleted on the server? You can
check with the mail dispatcher.
