With close to 30,000 messages, I'm getting to the point where TB takes
a long time to load. In addition, switching to large individual
folders is taking a while. Does TB index the messages twice?
Anyway, I assume it's time to archive older messages. But how?
Ideally, there would be a menu item "Archive old messages" which would
copy everything older than a certain date to a folder which is not
automatically scanned every program launch.
Is setting up a filter to copy old messages to an "archive account" an
option? Or would the contents of that account still slow down TB when
launched? I assume it would.
I've also had a look at Mailbag Assistant, but I'm not sure I
understand how it works. Can I use it to move older messages out of
the TB folders into a separate one at another location? Can I still
read the archive mailbox created with MA directly with TB? Even if
compressed? Or do I have to use MA in parallel with TB?
