My Web Service Provider is upgrading their email management system, and sent out a letter indicating that some versions of Eudora would have problems that needed patching, after the upgrade.
I contacted them to find out if they had tested the set-up for The Bat, and they said: --------------------------------- If BAT uses RFC Standards for TLS it should be fine. Eudora was targeted because certain Versions of Eudora did not follow the TLS standards Protocols. It is impossible to test EVERY possible e-mail client, especially since there are so many written by programmers that don't understand the RFC's. We tested the majority used e-mail clients. So, for you to find this out, you will need to contact the vendor of BAT and find out from them whether it even supports TLS --------------------------------- ...so I am curious if TB complies with RFC Standards for TLS or not. I am currently using TB with POPFile as a proxy server, between my pop mailbox and TB. Thanks in advance, for any illumination, that you might be able to offer. -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ A business is as honest as its advertising. . ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62r | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
