Thanks to all for the advice. system still not responding to The Bat! and still slow despite: a) removing ZA Pro b) removing AV c) removing the "offending" patch Have wiped HDD, re-installed XP Pro and again patched to SP1 + latest patches (- 811493 security patch). On a plain system - No AV or Software firewall - it is still slow and locking up the PC. Any chance that it could be that my mail file is on another disk drive (although it has always been there)? -- Best regards, Laurence mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62r | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
