I tend to use the Park function for stuff I want to hang onto. Often, though, these messages continue to clone themselves so I'll have several copies of the same message in the same folder. Then I have to unpark, kill dupes, and repark. This may be happening when I synchronise or restore from backup. Any ideas about what I might do to make this stop?
Also, every now and then Address Book entries duplicate themselves, and then even if I have deleted the duplicates, they re-duplicate themselves. This one is a mystery to me. This may come from synching with my laptop. I guess what I may have to do, if no one has a more elegant solution is make sure the two are synchronised, make sure the desktop version has everything I want it to have, then delete the accounts on the laptop and restore from a desktop-version backup.
