Yes, I've had exactly the same problem for quite a while now.
Totally random, but all my other email clients, OE, and including
the email clients on my Palm and Psion handhelds will all
download all the mails without a problem.
Generally for me, TB tends to stall on mails that have either a
large attachment (quite common for me) or have HTML included.
All the same I find it very irritating especially when OE works
without complaint!!!
I still prefer TB though! ;>)
FWIW my earlier version of TB (prior to 1.6?) was faultless.
