Thanks, Kevin. Version 1.60c does not seem to remember even when you
check the box. It apparently does store it, however, since when I
signed from version 1.62beta/11 the information populated the dialog.

Now (of course) the question of the original poster (sorry--lost your
name) returns. How do you erase this information? Where is the
passphrase stored?

Having given it some thought, I am also concerned that now my
passphrase is compromised if someone snags my notebook, etc.
