possibly a dumb question, but i am not very experienced with
mail internals. may the problem occur when you send an email to
yahoogroups that uses quote printable conversion for 8bit characters?
currently i do not have the problem anymore, i am sending my messages
mime encoded. but when i had the problem i notice that - even if i
selected base64 to encode 8bit characters - the message source from
the misdisplay message tells me that it is quote printable encoded.
i could imagine the following. yahoogroups converts all message - if
not explicitly chosen otherwise - to html messages. if you send a mail
quote printable yahoogroups tries to convert the source to html but
since it cannot decode the source correctly it produces the annoying
misdisplay.
could that be?

Today I dialed a wrong number... The other person said, 'Hello?' and I
said, 'Hello, could I speak to Joey?'... They said, 'Uh... I don't
think so... he's only 2 months old.' I said, 'I'll wait.' (Steven
