HOORAY! I didn't go through the entire thread you began in July, but my guess is that it's related. I was beginning to think that I'd be written off as a crackpot since confirmation of my findings just hasn't been happening. My last message in "Address book / Autocomplete bug confirmation anyone?" may give you some additional info.
