Well, then make it "registered before/after 1-1-2003, registered before
1-1-2002, etc. etc.", whatever... Ritlabs should have a database of their
registered users, shouldn't they...

Essentially we're talking about the same thing. If I would've bought Office
97 from Microsloth 5 years ago, I could get Office XP today as an update
for a reduced price. Ritlabs is not M$, okey... but anyway... the way it is
now is not very sensible.
