Hello Urban, > Care to show us an example?
No, I really can't. Those who know me have probably guessed that I was "kinda joking". I have no such filter. It is true that I have thought quite a bit about it because I do not want to waste even a few seconds on messages that say nothing "relevant" in the first 20 lines or so. You know, those replies that include PGP starters, duplicate subjects and dates, references to who wrote the message they are replying to and at what time he/she did so (even in different parts of the world), and that quote most of the original message to perhaps just say "Me too". I'm sure you know which messages I mean. So, as I have found no way to make such a filter yet, I have a visual/manual work-around. I read my e-mail on the preview pane. So, I have set up this pane to be 20 lines high so that, when I'm browsing unread messages, if I see nothing "relevant" (at least the first line of the actual message or reply) on this pane, I just mark the message as read and skip it. -- Best regards, Miguel A.
