Ohm that's a way of using SmartBat I never thought about - a
replacement text editor.

Well, we have different needs here, so I agree that whether or not the
file should be deleted when the pad is deleted thought be optional.
Setting in SmartBat itself:

1.) Delete text file when pad is deleted
2.) Keep text file when pad is deleted
3.) Ask every time

The latter is because I might use it the way you indicate, but not
always, so... ;-)
