1. AsI have privately stated to one of the list members, I believe in following list rules. What surprises me about this entire cut line issue is that I was not asked to insert one when I first posted.

PL] Leif, you wrongly addressed me which has already been pointed out by other list members. I will not comment about the friendlyness or unfriendlyness of the list; I have been able to extract useful information from the replies to my questions and have been able to advance my learning about TheBat.
3. I did read the welcome message.
(1) Firstly, I suggest that the heading "terms and conditions" should be changed to list rules. In the upper part of the message, the reader is told that the second section is about list rules but when the reader reaches the second section, the section heading says "Terms and conditions of use for TBUDL (The RULES!)" The words "the rules" should come first to make things explicitly clear. I did however read the conditions.
(2) Point h says
"It is also a good idea
to place a "-- " (dash dash space CR) on a clear line before
your sig so that it is automatically excluded from replies."
PL] The tone of the above sentence seems to imply that the cut line is not compulsory which is why I did not include it.
