The mess has occurred again even though I have backed down
to version 1.62. I'm giving it all to you. Can anyone make
any kind of guess about what is going on here? Again, what
I have done is scrolled through extraneous material,
taglines, signature blocks, highlighted, deleted. That has
been replaced by the ####### business. It does NOT happen
on all of my replies.

No, protection against trojans is only available through
specific trojan (remover) programs. I use BOClean (as do
many others here) and I also have used TDS3 which I also can
recommend. To my knowledge there are no free trojan remover
programs. They all cost money. They run all the time when
installed on a computer. BOClean caught one attempt on my
system and removed it last night. Our AV programs do
nothing and usually know nothing nor are programmed to do
anything with trojans. I do notice that my Norton Firewall
makes an effort to keep trojans out. One slipped through
last night, most likely my fault, and was cleaned and
removed.
