1) Exit TB. Run up Windows Explorer. Navigate to your TB MAIL
folder, which will be somewhere like:
C:\ Program Files\TheBat!\MAIL\Inbox
2) If you have messages in the inbox you want to save, just delete
the messages.tbi file, reload TB and see if anything has
improved.
3) If you don't have any messages in there you want to save, or are
at the point where the sacrifice is now worth it just to get TB
up and running again, delete both messages.tbi and messages.tbb
and then you'll be just fine.
I strongly recommend to *everyone* here not to use an account inbox
as a mail store - get those messages into other folders now. Instate
a filter set to keep the inbox empty. The inbox is a high traffic
area that needs frequent compression. Keeping important messages
there is like tucking your kids up to sleep in the fast lane of a
freeway/autobahn/autoroute/motorway. Crashes are more likely to
happen if messages are stored there and the folder is never
compressed.
