Hello Melissa & other TB! list members following this thread, On Saturday, October 25, 2003, you wrote in answer to my query:
>> Can anyone give a good reason why I should upgrade? And is the >> current version stable? MR> I seem to remember you posting this same question yesterday, and you MR> did receive several answers then. My question may have been posted but neither my post nor any answers came back. My subscription was suspended and the confirmation failed. I had to go to my subscription page today and restart it. MR> While it's very stable on my machine, there are the occasional MR> quirks with certain newer features. Judging from my past MR> experience with the TB! developers, I fully expect the quirks to MR> be ironed out in short order. Thanks but the question was whether v. 2 is really an improvement over version 1.62, in view of the fact that I care nothing about sending html mail. MR> You can, of course, install the new version as a trial (before MR> deciding to pay for the upgrade), and see for yourself if it's MR> something you want. Does this mean v. 2 can be installed without replacing (along side of) v. 1.x? MR> In any event, the half-price upgrade offer seems like a very MR> good deal to me, and I'm sure I'll continue to be happy about it MR> as v2 is developed further. MR> As someone else mentioned in your earlier thread...if you're a happy MR> user of v1.x, why wouldn't you be a happy user of v2? I began with v. 1.35. So far, I've received that indicates that v. 2 is improves on v. 1.62, nor MR> You can pay half price now, or full price later. :-) I asked because October's almost over and because I expected straight answers from the TB lists I subscribe to. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to send me whatever answers I missed due to my ISP's shenanigans and tbudl's not sending my mail. (I'm aware I could go to the archives. I've asking for someone send me any posts with this subject heading I missed, rather than criticize my having asked). -- Douglas ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
