1. Create a new message.
 2. Hit the button to put it in the outbox.
 3. Reopen the message from outbox and do some changes.
 4,5,6. Do this several times as you have second and third thoughts.
 7. Go on to other things, then back to The Bat
 8. Look at the outbound message again, and, without thinking,
 highlight a word in the preview pane.
 9. Type a character.

 10. The message disappears. Completely. The entry goes from the
 outbox, has not been sent and does not transfer to Sent Mail. It
 is also not in deleted messages for that folder.

I know this is a stupid action, but it has now happened to me at
least three times -- always late at night after a heavy day.
 
Please, any suggestions on how I can protect myself from myself.
