Use DoCmd.SendObject. Google will get you lots of info on it. I'll be
happy to send you my code off list if you'd like it, although I don't
know how much sense it will make. :) It's a routine I did for sending
a daily e-mail to different people, all of whom wanted different
reports in different formats as attachments.

I skipped all your steps. The code did everything.  I used the code
with TB! 1.63r.  It was never tested with TB! 2+, although I have no
reason to think it wouldn't work.  The code was assigned to a button
on the startup form. The database operator pressed the form and that
was it.
