The part of someone posting a message when there is a new version
was the part I was thinking off. So every one on the list knows it
within a couple of days after the release.

That RitLabs does not have to notify this list does not bother me
(would be nice though), but with all these active people on the
list one will spot the new version sooner or later ;-).
