I suggest trying an export and import operation. Another option would
be to do a series of copy operations, copying 150-200 messages at a
time. I've been where you are and it would seem that TB! chokes on
moving/copying a large number of messages from POP to IMAP or the
reverse. I know this is tedious but this is how IMAP is with regards
to TB! at the moment, i.e., often an exercise in tedium because of
bugs etc.
